Jennifer Andreae, MS, PT, DPT, CCRT has lived in Atlanta since 1986 and remains a dedicated advocate for animal rehabilitation and wellness. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she is a licensed Physical Therapist and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). Her lifelong love for animals, especially dogs, continues to fuel her passion for helping pets heal and thrive.
Jennifer received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami, followed by a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University, where she completed her master’s thesis on the effects of underwater treadmill exercise compared to land-based treadmill exercise. She later earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University and her Certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute.
Jennifer initially moved to Atlanta to work at the renowned Shepherd Center, where she specialized in treating patients with spinal cord and acute brain injuries. Over the years, she has also worked in sports medicine and with amputees, but the majority of her professional experience has been in outpatient orthopedic settings.
Jennifer became interested in rehabilitating dogs years ago when her black Lab underwent surgery for hip dysplasia. Naturally, she began applying her human physical therapy expertise to support her own dog through pre- and post-operative care. That experience inspired a new direction in her career and the rest is history.
Known affectionately as “Dr. J,” Jennifer enjoys spending her free time watching college football, fishing, gardening, attending Braves games, and taking relaxing neighborhood walks with her dog. She is a certified fly casting instructor through the Fly Fishers International and holds three World Record saltwater awards from the International Game Fish Association.
Donna Raney moved to Atlanta in 1987. Part of a military family rooted in Army tradition, she was born in Paris, France and moved multiple times throughout Europe and the U.S. At the age of 9, her roots were planted on a 52-acre farm nestled in the valley of Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas. Her family raised cattle, pigs, and chickens, cultivated abundant gardens, and lived sustainably, consuming what they harvested and selling livestock at state auctions.
Their grass-fed beef came from heritage breeds nurtured from calves, and their pork and free-range poultry were raised without antibiotics, steroids, or hormones. Donna’s dogs thrived on natural diets long before it was widely discussed, sparking a lifelong passion for holistic pet care and nutrition.
As a young adult, Donna spent 20 years in the corporate world working in the airline and automotive industries, all while running her pet sitting, dog training, and web design businesses on the side. She served as webmaster for a female country music artist for over a decade and was awarded a Commemorative RIAA Certified Gold Album in 2006.
Eventually, Donna left corporate America to pursue her true passion, working with animals full time. She owned and operated Pet Attention, LLC for 7 years before fulfilling her dream of opening a brick-and-mortar business where she could merge her love of pets with her knowledge of natural nutrition. Today, she uses that experience to help pet parents make better choices for their furry loved ones’ health and longevity.
In her spare time, Donna enjoys playing guitar, photographing nature and pets, fishing, grilling out, cheering on SEC college sports, and spending quality time with her loyal sidekick, PJ the Pack Leader.
